The BCCA Annual Scientific Meeting 2019 is being held in the diverse and vibrant city of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Taking place over two days on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th November 2019 held at the SAGE GATESHEAD.
The BCCA regularly attracts over 300 delegates with an interest in adult and paediatric congenital cardiology from across the UK, as well as an increasing number of international delegates. Attendees will be representatives of a number of Cardiac associations, including The British Congenital Cardiac Association (BCCA), The Paediatricians with Expertise in Cardiology Special Interest Group (PECSIG), Congenital Cardiac Nurses Association (CCNA), British Adult Congenital Cardiac Nurses Association (BACCNA) as well as non-affiliated healthcare professionals including; Congenital Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Paediatric Cardiac Nurses, and Cardiac Technicians.

20 credit module at level 7 - starting on 9th December 2019
The course will include:
Revision of normal A and P
Fetal circulation and changes at birth
Condition specific abnormalities (specific anomalies) – eg septal defects, complex anomalies, aortic anomalies etc
Psychosocial issues including transition and the patient perspective
Specific issues – cyanosis, pulmonary hypertension, anaesthesia and ITU, heart failure, emergencies and arrhythmias.
